This International Safe Abortion Day, our report on ‘Assessing the Judiciary's Role in Access to Safe Abortion’ co-authored by Anubha Rastogi, Campaign Advisory Group Member, Raunaq Chandrashekar, Public Policy Consultant and Hon'ble (Retd.) Justice Mridula Bhatkar launched the report and addressed the gathering. The day was also marked with a panel discussion on ‘Is Judiciary furthering women’s sexual and reproductive rights or unconsciously putting more barriers for women in their journeys to access safe abortion?’
The event witnessed participation from 65 people including representation from judicial and medical fraternity, friends from media and civil society groups.
