2022 Highlights!

A MOMENT OF TRIUMPH
INDIA'S UNPRECEDENTED JUDGEMENT FOR INCLUSIVE ABORTIONS!

On ISAD, the Supreme Court passed a landmark judgment, declaring that unmarried women are also legally entitled to safe abortions till 20-24 weeks of pregnancy. This decision recognises a person's right to bodily and reproductive decisional autonomy. What stands out in this judgement is the fact that the arguments given by Justice Chandrachud were rights-based first and then about the healthcare aspect around it, something that hasn't been seen before.

Newsletter - Revamped

We revamped our Newsletter Design in February 2022 and titled it as The Pratigya CONNECT

On our social platforms we even conducted a poll to invite our audience to vote on their preferences for the old and new look of our Newsletter - The New Look received the maximum votes and Likes! The Sept edition garnered 142 Unique Clicks against the yearly avg. of 18 unique opens and 300+ Unique Views against the yearly avg. of 190 unique views. The top performance since inception.

First Reel Influencer

We collaborated with Dr. Yuvraj Jadeja, also known by his Instagram alias @doctoryuvi, who creates informative content around healthcare, focusing on reproductive and sexual health. We reached out to him to start a conversation about a very important issue. This collaboration was a part of our overarching social campaign of Shame Less Learn More.

The video garnered 14K views.

Taking a Stand - Social Campaigns

Shame Less, Learn More

With this series, we tried to start meaningful conversations by breaking myths, sharing experiences, and spreading education around topics that are considered taboo. Our campaign brought together powerful statements from public figures and young people about their views on sexual health.

Repair the bias damage

Gender bias has spread its influence in all aspects of life, from home to the government. To mark International Women's Day, we brought together suggestions for steps that can be taken to make amends for preconceived notions created by gender bias.

World Environment Day

On World Environment Day, we talked about the interconnectedness between gender bias and natural disasters. We explored how both issues impact each other and why, in crisis situations, it's the minorities who are worst affected.

International Day of Safe Abortion

For International Day of Safe Abortion, we wanted to spread education while resonating with the youth. This translated into our Little Miss fights the barriers against abortions and #ChupKar series. Both touched upon the various difficulties a pregnant person faces while accessing abortions, such as lack of information and societal prejudice. We spread information about why access to safe abortion is an essential healthcare service.

16 days of activism - Elimination of Violence Day

16 days of Activism mark the period between International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women(25th November) to Human Rights Day (10th December). Our campaign strived to challenge violence in all forms against women, girls, and the transgender community. We tried to shed a light on why the availability of healthcare and abortion services becomes essential in situations of abuse.
